A vacancy has arisen for a Solicitor to join their Family Finance Team. This is a full-time opportunity based in the Exeter office. Their hybrid working model and approach to flexible working enables their people to share their working time between home and office to support a healthy work/life balance.


You will be working as a Solicitor within a specialist Family Finance Team. You will be assisting the partners in the team and other legal advisors so will need to have a flexible approach and the ability to work within a team environment.


You will be advising clients on a range of financial issues following their separation and marital breakdown and representing them as they navigate their way through the financial remedy process. Your work will involve advising in relation to the divorce process, matrimonial and non-matrimonial property, maintenance claims and pension division.


You will also be involved and gain experience in high-net-worth family finance cases, often involving significant business assets, complex property structures, international and more specialist and complex areas of matrimonial finance work. An outline knowledge of private children law is preferred but not essential.


The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor or Legal Executive with 1 – 5 years’ experience working in the area of divorce and family finance. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a focus on exceptional client care. You will be organised and will have an excellent academic record and good numeracy skills.


The position would suit someone who is accurate, proactive and committed to meeting deadlines while remaining calm under pressure. Excellent all round communication skills, professional telephone manner and attention to detail is essential.
