Our market leading Medical Negligence Team has an exciting new opportunity based within Edinburgh. Solicitor, Medical Negligence - Purpose of job: The position will involve work at all stages (pre-ligation and raised actions) and in a variety of Courts, from ASPIC to the Court of Session. We place a real emphasis on the quality of our work, and you will be involved in some of the highest value and most complex clinical negligence cases in Scotland. Acting exclusively for pursuers, this is a challenging but extremely rewarding position. You will receive first-class training and supervision from our accredited specialist solicitors. We offer flexible working and a friendly environment designed to encourage teamwork. Solicitor, Medical Negligence - Qualifications/skills required to perform role: Working in one of Scotland's leading teams (top ranked by both Chambers UK and the Legal 500), the successful candidate will have some prior experience litigating personal injury cases. Whilst direct medical negligence experience would be advantageous, it is not essential. The role requires a strong team player, with 1-5 years PQE, who is confident, approachable and has excellent communication and client care skills. This is a rare opportunity to develop your knowledge within a very specialised area of the law and with genuine further career prospects. Each of our solicitors have their own caseload comprising claims at all levels from lower value Sheriff Court cases to seven figure complex claims. We assist clients suffering from the most serious and catastrophic levels of damage such as brain injury, spinal injury, visual impairment and fatal injuries.
