Job Description

An award-winning, modern-thinking and successful law firm in Exeter are looking for a Real Estate Lawyer to join their established and reputable team, focusing on their Energy work. With high-quality work and the chance to be a part of one of the most desirable law firms to work for, this is a great opportunity for a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive looking to take their career to the next level. The ideal candidate will have at least circa 5 years' PQE working within Energy work already, although we are also considering candidates with more experience than this. We are ideally after someone who is commercially aware and who can be a positive ambassador for the firm.

Tasks will include:

  • Undertaking a varied and interesting client caseload covering onshore wind, solar, EV, battery, AD, hydro and other renewable technologies.
  • You will be dealing with options and leases, power purchase agreements, easements and grid connection agreements, acting for funders, landowners and developers across a range of renewable energy technologies.
  • You will be liaising with our corporate, construction and planning teams in order to provide a seamless one-stop service for clients with renewable energy projects.

Skills and experience sought:

  • 5 years' plus PQE within Energy and Renewables
  • A credible, ambitious personality
  • Someone who enjoys a modernteam environment
  • You will have the ability to enhance the firm's clients’ experience through the delivery of exceptional client service
