Regulatory Solicitor

We are currently recruiting for a Regulatory Solicitor within a leading global law firm. The role would ideally suit a Solicitor with 1-4 years PQE, and offers the opportunity to gain exposure to a high value, high calibre caseload.
Our Client
Our client is a global law firm, with a market leading Regulatory Team who are are specialists in Safety, Health and Environment work (SHE).
The firm deals with all aspects of advice and defence, including advising insurers’, policyholders and corporate clients in relation to investigations and prosecutions by a wide range of regulators including the Police, Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, and Local Authorities.
The Person
This role is ideally suited to a Solicitor with 1-4 years PQE with experience gained within a criminal, regulatory and/or commercially focused role.
It would be beneficial to have experience of advising on regulatory work including - health and safety incident investigations, interviews under caution, prosecutions, environmental breaches, breaches of trading standards, food law and/or fire safety.
You will have experience of business development, building client relationships and client relationship management.
Driving licence essential.
The Role
The successful candidate will be required to:
Do not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity.- Undertake a variedcase load encompassing a range of contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues for a variety of clients;
- Act as a point of contact for clients working in accordance with client protocols, demonstrating a level of knowledge and skill commensurate with experience;
- Assist with business development activities with a view to developing and establishing contentious and not contentious work streams for the firm. Where appropriate assist in the preparation and delivery of pitches, presentations and training events
- Demonstrate sound file management;
- Assume responsibility for quality control and benchmark compliance on own caseload, including accuracy and timeliness of management reporting and information;
- Maintain an understanding of other practice areas and an active internal network.
