WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Senior Sourcing Analyst, you will primarily be working with members of BCG’s Global Procurement function to support strategic objectives, leveraging your strong analytics knowledge & experience.Performing cost analysis and data modellingGenerating insights using analytics tools such as; MS Excel, MS BI, Alteryx, Tableau, etc. Support various procurement transformation efforts and bring continuous improvements by providing relevant data analytics and insightsCoordinating with Accounts payable, Finance, IT and other functions for bringing new insights for spend analytics and insightsLead regular analytics reporting and dashboarding for Procurement functionEnsure high quality of procurement master dataIncrease spend under Procurement’s management by leading a structure analysis of tail spendMaking recommendations to stakeholders through presentations with advanced PowerPoint skillsPreparing and managing Requests for Information (RFI) / Requests for Proposals (RFQ)Preparing and delivering presentation materials (e.g. slides, reports) for stakeholder communication and meetingsConducting market research, contract compliance reviews and ad-hoc problem solvingWorking with staff and executives to develop and implement improved processes and methodsYOU'RE GOOD ATStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong financial and statistical analysis skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills with experience of managing/ supporting procurement function across multi geographies and time zonesStrong interpersonal skills and high level of comfort/ease interacting with all levels of the organizationProficiency in Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) – expert level in Excel and very good in PowerPointProficiency in Purchase-to-pay tools (e.g. Coupa, Ariba, Emptoris, Oracle), Coupa experience is preferredAble to juggle multiple initiatives and short- and long-term prioritiesAbility to work independently, keeping others informed as necessaryAbility to multi-task on different projects under tight time framesStrong integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentialityExtremely organized with attention to detailExperience with Agile ways of working processes a plusYOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)University degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering (or other related degree programs)4+ years of experience analyzing data in sourcing, procurement operations, procurement consulting, or business systems environmentIn-depth knowledge and experience of strategic sourcing processesStrong knowledge of analytics tools like Altyrex, Tableau, MS BI etcHighly self-motivated with the ability to drive change in a global organization with minimum supervisionYOU'LL WORK WITHBCG spends ~$1.6B on goods and services across the firm globally. At its core, Procurement is accountable for ensuring that BCG is supplied with goods and services that meet business requirements, drive value and at best whole life cost to BCG. The functional procurement team at BCG is a healthy, yet nascent operating function that has generated material savings to BCG over the past 5 years. Over the past 18 months, we’ve embarked upon a procurement transformation to define and implement strategies, organization, systems and policies to create a sustainable operating model. This model should maximize value from our suppliers, mitigate risk and meet savings targets. BCG is a highly matrixed firm where purchasing decisions are often taken at the local level, therefore this transformation will need to be carried out with high levels of stakeholder engagement, alignment and collaboration. The BCG Global Procurement function is currently made up of more than 45 procurement professionals located in London, Stockholm, New Delhi, Boston and Munich. This Sourcing Manager position will be supporting our team with sourcing projects on a strategic and operational level. As part of BCG’s Global Procurement transformation, we have created the following new strategic category planning gpositions in Real Estate, Professional Services, and Human Resources. These Sourcing Category Leaders will collaborate closely with senior business partners, executive leadership, and functional owners across the company to understand their business priorities and establish category strategies that will enable their success. The Category Leaders will get a broad understanding of BCG’s overall business, gain great visibility and understanding across the organization, and be responsible for leading the Category Planning and Sourcing efforts for all in scope categories globally. Scope of work will be global, regional as well as local sourcing. Extensive global category experience, relationship building, sell-in capabilities and sensitivity to local requirements are key qualifications and attributes for success.
