  • An experienced team manager with proven capability in managing and motivating a team under pressure with demanding deadlines.
  • \n
  • Possess a strong knowledge of legislation and processes involved in Local Land Charge searches or processing Street Naming & Numbering Orders.
  • \n
  • Understand the necessity of maintaining accurate spatial information systems and have experience working closely with Corporate ICT functions.
  • \n
  • Capable of managing budgets, income analysis, measuring financial performance, and liaising with various internal and external partners.
  • \n
  • Embodies the organization’s TOWER values, showing willingness to resolve conflicts, embrace change, be accountable and respect community outcomes.

  • Open to working outside regular hours and carrying out site visits as required.

\n\nWhat the Job Involves\n
    \n
  • Acting as the council’s expert in providing high-quality specialized expertise in managing complex and detailed spatial data technical and administrative issues.
  • \n
  • Leading a team responsible for creating and maintaining the Corporate Address and Street Gazetteers according to BS7666 and other relevant standards.
  • \n
  • Managing the Division’s spatial data repositories and ensuring effective processing and compliance with data management systems.
  • \n
  • Handling complaints, Member/Mayoral Enquiries, FOI requests, and service-related information in a timely and professional manner.
  • \n
  • Utilizing relevant ICT systems to deliver an up-to-date, monitored, efficient, and integrated service.
  • \n
  • Implementing changes to improve the spatial data service by identifying good practice opportunities and ensuring the service meets statutory requirements.
  • \n
  • Preparing policies, procedures, guidance, and developing quality assurance and system manuals on spatial data matters.
  • \n
  • Managing financial aspects, including the team's budget, and supporting income within the Spatial Data team.
  • \n
  • Developing effective partnerships and representing the Council at external meetings and governmental settings, providing expert advice as needed.
