Job Description

The Royal United Hospitals Bath Paediatric Psychology department is delighted to announce the opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our team. This is a diverse and varied role 8A/7 (depending on experience) role working in General Paediatrics.

Psychology into General Paediatrics has been established for almost 3 years and has been extremely valued and welcomed by staff and service users.

The successful candidate will enjoy having a varied caseload and working in a diverse role using different psychological models and approaches. The presentations vary and may involve complex presentations requiring systemic work with MDT teams or families. However, this is balanced with less complex presentations which respond well to 1:1 brief CBT/ACT interventions.

The post-holder will be joining a small team in paediatric psychology including 3 other psychologists who work across 4 specialities. We also have regular trainees and assistant psychologists. There are also a number of other psychologists working across the trust and there are opportunities for learning and networking. We are committed to staff wellbeing and supporting each other and value peer support. The RUH site has a number of outside green spaces and an on-site outdoor swimming pool available to staff.

The post is currently advertised as 0.4 permanent. However other opportunities for additional hours may be available soon.
