Job summary It is an exciting time for shaping and developing Nottinghamshire Eating Disorder Service. Most recent developments include developing a pathway for our patients who have a severe and enduring eating disorderThis role is to lead the development of a pathway to Adults with a severe and enduring eating disorder, whilst also providing OT provision within the wider adult eating disorder service within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will work alongside other disciplines to develop a comprehensive pathways. They will lead on matters related to OT provision, this will include offering professional consultation to other professionals and services, alongside supporting and providing packages of care with an OT focus. Main duties of the job The Specialist Adult ED Service OT post is within the Eating Disorder service within The Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.The role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise in order that in the longer-term needs of clients and their carers benefit from a well-coordinated pro-active, specialist, efficient and effective Adult Long Standing Eating Disorder pathway.The post holder will be invited to play a key role in local strategic developments of service provision. As an emerging area, there is scope and need for research and evaluation. Through established networks and platforms, the post holder has the opportunity to influence and shape Adult Long Standing Eating Disorder provision on a wider and national level. Person Specification Physical Requirments Essential Excellent speech and hearing Desirable Physical skills in line with MVA Breakaway Qualifications Essential Recognised OT Degree/diploma RCOT Registered HCPC Registered Contractual requirements Essential Car driver A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required for this post; Ability to travel between sites Desirable Highly specialist skill in working with young people and adults with ASD / DLD / ID training Essential Portfolio of relevant post qualification CPD including specialist knowledge of Sensory attachment / Integration and the impact on service users with a range of Neurodevelopmental / Developmental disabilities such as Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, etc Desirable Post-graduate training specific to client group Experience Essential Working experience of assessing and managing a complex caseload with adults with MH needs Experience of effective multi-disciplinary/agency working and established interpersonal and negotiation skills Experience of designing and delivering different learning and development opportunities for staff teams.
