The Opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Sponsorship Sales Manager to join the Confex Division working on an exciting launch product, the Emission Tech Connect Exhibition (ETC).

Emission Tech Connect (ETC) stands out as the foremost global event dedicated to emission technology in legacy hydrocarbon and hard-to-abate sectors. Positioned as the industry's premier gathering, ETC will host an impressive assembly of policymakers and CEOs engaged in 60 thought-provoking conference sessions. Dive into a vibrant showcase featuring 200+ exhibitors and leverage the chance to connect with over 2,000 delegates.

The role is primarily to sell multiple sponsorship and brand activations at ETC. This will involve the acquisition of entirely new business, and you will be responsible for generating revenue from these new clients. You will need great negotiation skills and will be expected to build strong client relationships, actively managing the complete Sponsorship process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed yearly and monthly revenue targets by selling consistently to all possible targets, new clients, and prospects.
  • Convince prospects of the benefits of sponsoring and supporting Emission Tech Connect Exhibition (ETC).
  • Sell stands as well as highly valued sponsorship.
  • Exchange information and provide constructive feedback as required by colleagues in different departments.
  • Make at least 50 calls per day on average to contact clients and prospects.
  • Meet clients face-to-face in meetings to present and sell sponsorship opportunities and packages.
  • Complete and send the weekly Sponsorship report sheet to the Portfolio Directors.
  • Ensure business conduct reflects an enthusiastic and efficient image of the department.
  • Be present at certain industry and Energy events to network with clients directly.
  • Sell sponsorship packages primarily for meetings in the US and EMEA.

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • A deep understanding of content development strategies crucial for planning and executing an emission technology expo.
  • Proven expertise in planning, organizing, and managing events, particularly expos or conferences.
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn about industry regulations and compliance standards related to emission technology.
  • Solid understanding of marketing strategies, including digital and traditional marketing channels.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to create a network of industry contacts.
  • Previous work in sponsorship and exhibition sponsorship/account management.
  • Excels in face-to-face selling and presenting products to clients.
  • Confident in generating new business leads from cold calling and industry networking.
  • Excellent communication skills and telephone manner.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Highly motivated, ambitious, and results-oriented.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • US-based sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the energy/oil and gas, and/or finance sectors.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM system.
