Sponsorship Sales Success Manager

Hybrid London

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sponsorship Sales Success Director to join our events company. This pivotal role is responsible for driving sales success, optimizing internal processes, and leading a team of Sales Success Managers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sponsorship sales success, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for achieving and surpassing expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Success and Strategy:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key sponsors, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for high-value sponsors, ensuring exceptional service and support.
  • Resolve any sponsor-related issues or conflicts promptly and effectively.
  • Organize and lead regular sponsor meetings, updates, and reviews.
  • Responsible for accurate proofing of all logos that are used onsite and digitally
  • Create and regularly maintain online exhibitor portal(s)
  • Collection and management of marketing collateral, virtual booth graphics and demo videos from exhibitor and sponsors
  • Responsible for the upload and tracking of all sponsor and partner deliverables
  • On-site management to ensure that all arrangements / orders are completed and of high quality
  • Approve all booth stand plans adhering to venue Health & Safety guidelines and make recommendations to exhibitors for optimal booth design in allotted area
  • Production of post-event reports and ownership of completing said reports with the team, for each exhibitor and sponsor in a timely manner

Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Sales Success Managers to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Optimization of Processes and Tools:

  • Evaluate and refine internal sales processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement and optimize CRM and sales tools to streamline operations and improve data management.
  • Develop and enforce best practices for sponsorship sales deliverables, ensuring consistent and scalable methodologies.

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Use insights gained from data analysis to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, events, sales and product development teams to create compelling deliverable journey for sponsors.
  • Partner with event management to ensure seamless execution of sponsored activities and events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sponsorship sales, preferably within the events industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
