This position will be a contracted position with Somerdale Pavilion Trust.Somerdale Pavilion Trust are currently looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our growing team!Here at Somerdale Pavilion our aim is to provide a diverse menu designed to cater for a wide variety of dietary requirements cooked freshly on site. As well as our bar service, we also cater for corporate buffets and other events. We are looking for someone to work within our existing team to deliver excellent service to our customers and community.Your main duties and responsibilities include:General cleaning (including washing up)Preparing ingredientsWashing and chopping vegetablesPreparing dishesObserving correct cooking times and temperaturesUsing cooking equipment, utensils, and machinery (e.g., saucepans, pans, chopping boards, knives)Keeping work stations and surfaces clean and tidy etc.Following company policies and proceduresAbout youStrong verbal and written communication skillsWill need to have a level of flexibilityExcellent organisational skillsBe able to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to be a team player, but also use own initiativeAn interest in the food and hospitality industryLevel 2 food hygiene certificate is preferred but full training will be providedThis is a part time casual position, further information on possible hours will be discussed at interview and may require some Saturdays.Rate of pay is dependent on age and experienceBenefits:· 50% discount on food· Gym membership· On-site parking Salary Ranges:£6.42 - £11.48Time Type:Part timeIf you have any queries please email our Recruitment Team -
