Job Description
As a Staff Engineer for Compare the Market, you will assume a key position providing engineering and architectural expertise and guidance that enables the vision of the cloud platform to be delivered. You will use your deep technical knowledge of your product area to influence decisions about what tools and technologies will enhance our service offering and solve engineering challenges. On top of that, you will have the opportunity to guide, mentor and coach engineers, developing your own leadership skills in the process.

What will it take to be successful as a Staff Engineer?
As an experienced individual, you will be able to demonstrate involvement in the delivery of applications that underpin business or consumer facing products, and the part you played in improving their quality. You will have:
- Deep experience working with cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, etc.), distributed systems (e.g. microservice architectures) and tools that enable software engineering teams (e.g. CI/CD, Observability, Security tooling, etc).
- Demonstrable experience setting a technical vision and working with a team to achieve it.
- Advocate of engineering excellence within the domain, contributes to technology wide engineering standards, processes and tools
