Job Description

Position Title: Inventory Manager

Reports to: Merchandiser and Operations Director

Position Purpose

Responsible for day-to-day management of stock movements and systems, providing vital analytical insight and trend analysis to support the stock management/production process and efficient flow of goods. This includes reporting and continuous improvement.


Principal Accountabilities

 

Stock Operations

-       Schedule, conduct and resolve stock audits through quarterly stock-takes across all locations and rolling checks across min. 5 lines per week including sku’s with highest value and top movers

-       Calling out discrepancy checks, keeping Department Heads informed of results and outstanding issues.

-       Maintenance and review of “never out of stock” list

-       Accountable for shipping online sales within agreed parameters and raising issues where needed with the Customer Care team

-       Daily reviews of open sales for all branches across Global E and Cin7

-       Work with production team to QC deliveries where needed on and RTV failed product

-       Support Merchandising with SKU creation where needed for new products and overall maintenance through to deactivation

-       Accountable for ensuring all new products are hallmarked appropriately through the Assay process

-       Collation, tracking and write off/repair of faulty items

-       Stock loan turn around within agreed parameters; completion of branch transfers as required

-       Optimise stockroom storage and ensure security procedures are followed at all times to prevent theft/stock loss

-       Monitoring of packaging stock levels

-       Manage deliveries to store to meet relevant stock level targets where possible

-       Management of all inbound and outbound stock movements

-       Management of all production samples and records


Reporting and Insights

Inventory data pulling and interpretation in order to:

-       Monday OOS vs low stock report for review with merchandiser and production team

-       Sales report from previous week in store for replenishment run

-       Daily resolution of the Sales Made Without Stock report

-       Optimise SOH by liaising with internal team on product in mailers and social content

-       Support strategic decisions on product development


Systems 

-       Ensure all in-store staff members, including themselves, are totally conversant with Cin7/Global E/Shopify functionalities

-       Ensure all administrative documents are kept up to date and filed correctly

-       Creation and monitoring of in-store product bible complete with barcodes

-       Regularly review procedures for improvements in efficiency and working practices, and to ensure that any recommendations are measured and implemented.

-       Develop and maintain relationships with production partners and all relevant support functions.


KPI

-       95-99% stock accuracy

-       Sales and profitability – sales vs budget contribution of role to reaching target

-       Reduction of missed sale opportunities due to low stock

-       Accurate management of stock across multiple locations

-       Stock check evaluation – pivot results and compare levels up and down

-       Integrity vs loss 0 under 1% of the value of total stock holding

-       Daily communication around stock allocations and potential pit falls


Salary £30-35k depending on experience.


Experience in shipping in logistics preferred.
