Are you passionate about inventory management and ensuring smooth operations? We have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Controller to join our dynamic team! As a Stock Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate stock levels, optimising inventory processes, and ensuring efficient stock movements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock
- Conduct regular stock audits to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues
- Monitor stock levels and collaborate with the procurement team to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
- Create and implement effective inventory management strategies to minimise stock holding costs
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and handling of products
- Prepare regular reports on stock levels, turnover, and any potential risks or opportunities
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete items and suggest actions for clearance or disposal
- Collaborate with other departments such as sales and finance to forecast demand and plan replenishments
- Implement systems or software to streamline stock control processes
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a similar role as a Stock Controller or Inventory Manager is preferred
- A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to identify patterns or discrepancies in data
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with different teams within the organisation
- Proficient in using inventory management software or systems (Shopify system is a plus)
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- An understanding of supply chain management principles is desirable but not essential
- High level of accuracy and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving
