Description JOB TITLE: Strategy Analyst (Credit Cards)LOCATION: Chester / Newport / LondonSALARY: £38,295 - £42,550HOURS: Full-TimeWORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the office.About this opportunityCredit Cards Engagement and Retention, within Consumer Lending, is a commercially focused area. We lead multiple existing customer treatments, that help drive ongoing customer engagement and retention throughout the credit card lifecycle, whilst ensuring the product is optimised for both value and customer experience. In this Strategy Analyst role, your focus will be on delivering insight and analytics, to help the Credit Card business understand performance and deliver against financial plans. What will you be doing?You'll develop close working relationships with other teams involved in delivering product treatment strategies, including (but not limited to) Pricing Operations, Chief Customer Office, Brands & Marketing, Credit Risk, Business Risk, Conversational Banking Lab and external third parties. Responsibilities will include:Extracting your own data from source using SAS / SQL (through SAS Enterprise Guide or Teradata)Turning your data into accurate, concise, and meaningful insightDelivery of portfolio optimisation activityDeveloping the reporting suite on AI led retention toolsClear articulation of your insights and recommendations with senior managers and key stakeholders around the business.What you'll needYou're able to apply balanced thinking across commercial and customer needs. A self-starter, with experience in finding your own solutions to new and emerging challenges, you'll relish the opportunity to collaborate in cross-functional teams and communicate your findings and insight to others.And based on the knowledge you already possess, you're able to accurately translate selection criteria into code, for the purposes of data selection.Essential:A strong numerical background.Hands on experience of utilising data mining software within a complex, commercial workplace environment.Competency in using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.Practical experience in test and learn design, targeting and tracking of performance through to conclusion.Experience of developing business cases which balance value and customer experience.Able to effectively manage multiple relationships across both internal external stakeholders.Previous exposure to workplace situations which have required you to use your communication and influencing skills, to gain buy-in and support for your recommendations.Able to plan, prioritise & organise a diverse workload effectively.Desirable:Competence in SAS / SQL would be useful, but we'll also offer support and development with these technical skills.Power BI/Tableau experience is desirable but not essential.Degree level qualification in a numerical subject would be an advantage.Working knowledge of cloud-based data services, such as Google Cloud Platform would be beneficial.You'll be joining a great team - we'll fully support you and provide excellent training.
