Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Streetlighting Engineer to come and join a busy client in the Tyne and Wear area.
The main duties of the experienced Streetlighting Engineer are:
- Develop and review streetlighting design plans, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and community needs.
- Oversee streetlighting projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination of resources.
- Manage routine maintenance and repair activities for streetlighting systems, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Implement and promote energy-efficient lighting solutions, including the transition to LED technology and smart lighting systems.
- Engage with the community to provide information on streetlighting projects, gather local knowledge, and address concerns related to streetlighting.
The experienced Streetlighting Engineer will have qualifications in:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional engineering certification is preferred.
- Proven experience in streetlighting engineering, including design, project management, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of streetlighting principles, energy-efficient technologies, and relevant regulations.
