Job Description

We are hiring a Student Recruitment Officer to join London’s leading environmental college, which offers a diverse range of full and part-time courses in further and higher education for young people and adults.

This role will play a pivotal role in attracting a diverse pool of applicants, through innovative and engaging on and off-campus recruitment events and activities for students in year 9, 10 and 11.

The post holder will support the delivery of the college’s annual school liaison programme across Greater London with partner, feeder and local schools as well as the wider community.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a confident and motivated individual to enhance the College’s school outreach and engagement, and support growth in student numbers.

To succeed in this role you will have experience in building relationships with students, parents and educational partners, strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.

Experience

  • Proven experience in student recruitment, preferably within further and/or higher education
  • Effective liaison with a range of stakeholders, including students, parents and influencers
  • Experience creating and delivering engaging and impactful presentations
  • Working with young people, and representing a brand in an outward-facing role
  • Managing a busy and demanding role

Skills, Abilities and Knowledge

  • Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative within agreed strategic guideline
  • Proficiency in using various digital platforms and CRM systems for recruitment purposes
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, supporting others as required
  • Good understanding of the further and higher education landscape
