The Job
- Observe machine setups and record detailed information on setup procedures
- Assist in creating detailed training documents based on recorded information
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure accuracy and completeness of training documents
- Review and update training documents to ensure they remain current and effective
- Work closely with training coordinators to ensure the training program meets the needs of the organisation
- Assist in the development of innovative solutions to engineering challenges
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to identify opportunities for new products or product improvements
- Conduct research and analysis to support innovation efforts
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
- Support the documentation and reporting of innovation projects and outcomes
- Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
- Participate in process optimisation projects to reduce waste and increase productivity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost reduction opportunities
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to streamline processes and reduce waste
- Help to track and analyse key performance indicators to monitor process improvements and identify areas for further optimisation
- Contribute to the development of training materials to support process improvements and efficiency gains
What we expect
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in engineering or a related field
- Passionate about efficiency and process improvement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
