Job Title: Student Support Officer

Location: ONSITE, Manchester, UK (M1 1LQ)

Employment Type: Full-time, Monday - Sunday ( 5 days )

Hours: 9:00am - 17:00pm or 13:30pm - 9:30pm (Flexible)

Salary: £25,000 to £29,000 (Depending on experience and qualification)

VCAD is seeking a Student Support Officer to join our London/Manchester campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey. The role requires an individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.




Responsibilities:


  • Provide personalised support to students in areas such as academic progress, personal issues, and career guidance
  • Act as a point of contact for students, answering enquiries and providing information about the school's policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with academic staff to identify and address student concerns and provide feedback on academic progress
  • Organise and facilitate events and workshops aimed at promoting student engagement and enhancing the student experience
  • Monitor and track student attendance, academic progress, and behaviour, and intervene where necessary
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student information
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of support services and policies



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in a similar role within a higher education institution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by students in higher education and an ability to provide appropriate support
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • A commitment to upholding the school's values and policies
