Job Description

Job Summary:

Our client is looking for a Sub/Site Agent with a strong background in Civil Engineering to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The Site Agent will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, technical proficiency, and a commitment to delivering high-quality Civil Engineering projects on time and within budget.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site, including earthworks, concrete works, drainage systems, utilities installation, and road construction, to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Plan and schedule construction activities, resources, and materials in coordination with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project deadlines and milestones.
  • Monitor progress against project schedules, identify potential delays or issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and quality control checks to ensure that work is being performed safely, accurately, and in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction crews, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure that work is executed efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, engineers, architects, and regulatory agencies, to provide updates on project progress, address concerns, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices on construction sites, implementing safety protocols and risk mitigation measures as necessary.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily progress reports, site diaries, inspection records, and as-built drawings, to track project activities, expenditures, and variations.
  • Manage site resources, equipment, and inventory, coordinating logistics, maintenance, and procurement to support construction operations effectively.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement among site staff, promoting a positive work environment and a commitment to excellence in project delivery.
