As a Supply Chain Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the procurement of goods and services critical to project delivery. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and ensuring timely delivery, ultimately contributing to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement team to ensure compliant and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and utilize contractual tools to protect the company's interests.
- Develop and execute cost-saving plans while ensuring adherence to procurement processes.
- Collaborate with the Quality function to maintain supplier approvals and uphold product requirements.
- Drive the communication and implementation of the company's supply chain strategy within your portfolio of suppliers.
- Develop supplier capability and onboard new suppliers aligned with the supply chain strategy.
- Provide essential information to support the Sales team during bidding processes.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in procurement within manufacturing/engineering environments.
- Ability to source from Bills of Materials or Scopes of Work.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing cost reduction projects.
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Previous work in safety-critical industries desirable.
- Familiarity with ERP platforms advantageous.
