We’re currently recruiting a dedicated Supply Chain Planner (Grad) to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Foodbuy on a full-time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week. As a Supply Chain Planner (Grad), you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of quality work.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Liaise with the client team to understand the product requirements across all service centres.
  2. Accountable for monitoring actions driven by product supply and service level reports to ensure continuity of supply.
  3. Manage assigned product categories.
  4. Review and order in line with client requirements, inventory levels & supplier lead times.
  5. Manage stock levels in line with client’s seasonal menu changes, robust process to ensure no residual stock.
  6. Ensuring suppliers have the necessary product & volume information to ensure availability of stock as per the client’s requirement.
  7. Liaise with third party goods in & inventory teams.
  8. Drive improvements in product availability levels through monitoring of inbound service levels and expediting issues with suppliers.
  9. Liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure forecasts are as accurate as possible & stock counts are accurate.
  10. Supplier management via close working relationships, daily contact, supplier meetings, visits.
  11. Maintaining product trackers to ensure stock is kept at optimum levels.
  12. Maintenance & set up of product information on both ordering platforms & inventory/shipping software.
  13. Endeavour to ensure products are available through the most appropriate route to market.
  14. Ensuring current product SKU's are maintained and communicated effectively when changes are implemented.
  15. Liaise with client to advise of any stock issues which will affect availability to trains.
  16. Liaise with third party Inventory & Operational teams to understand operational and stock level issues.
  17. Pro-actively manage supply issues to support the wider team.
  18. Actively communicate and contribute to the wider team ensuring all stakeholders are aware and informed at all times.

Our ideal Supply Chain Planner (Grad) will:

  • Previous experience of working in a supply chain role.
  • Excellent communication skills both written & oral.
  • Preferred food background.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Well organised and logical thinker.
  • Team Player.
  • Good all-round knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Works well under pressure.
