Your expertise will be crucial in coordinating with suppliers to secure on-time deliveries, optimizing inventory levels, and mitigating potential disruptions that could impact our production schedule.

What you’ll do at Elekta

As a Supply Planner, you will analyse supply chain data, anticipate potential delays, and collaborate with procurement, logistics, and operations teams to enhance efficiency across the board. Your ability to communicate effectively, negotiate with suppliers, and develop strategic partnerships will be essential to our success.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Order Book Management

  • Active management of purchase orders and distribution orders from product supply centres or suppliers to the point of delivery.
  • Pro-active expediting of requirement to maximize stock availability for product supply centres whilst ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • Communicate and escalate supply risk to minimize global service impact.
  • Managing concessions (NONCS) and material in review (MIR).
  • Managing objectives by pro-actively managing key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintaining and managing Supplier Calendar, Delivery Frequency Calendar, Collection Calendar, Shipping Calendar, and Transport Calendar.
  • Escalate any supplier issues and actively work with Procurement to resolve.

Supplier Management

  • Time resolution of all invoice queries.
  • Acts as supplier lead for product availability at global distribution centres for all imported goods within the area of responsibility.
  • Fully responsible for ensuring the correct stock requirements are conveyed to relevant suppliers at product level, taking due consideration of lead-time and other factors (shutdowns, national holidays, etc.).
  • Communicate forward plan to minimize disruptions to future supply.
  • Work with existing supply base to improve delivery accuracy versus lead time.
  • Ensure customer service levels are met for daily customer orders, alongside logistics & customer service levels.

Case Management

  • Non-Field Replaceable Unit (Non-FRU) Request
  • NSR (Non-Standard Requests)
  • Defective On-Arrival (DEFOA) Requests

Career Development

  • Participate in a rotation program to develop skills and broaden experiences by moving between demand planning and production planning teams, depending on business needs.

The right stuff

  • Previous experience in a similar position within a continuous improvement environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with high levels of autonomy.
  • Analytical approach to work & experience with identifying areas for improvement.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Supply Chain Planning systems.
  • Competencies with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Results-oriented and self-directed individual with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in supply planning, material planning or purchase order management.
  • Experience or interest in managing suppliers.
  • Adept at solving problems through analytical and logical approaches.

What you bring

  • Degree in the following fields is preferred: Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Management Science or Operational Research or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent understanding of supply chain.
  • Familiarity with production planning or manufacturing planning.
  • Excellent relationship management & influencing skills.
