This vacancy is fixed term for 12 months.The Adult Social Care vision in Hull is of ‘a life not a service’. Adult Social Care is person centred and focuses on individuals’ strengths to support them to take control of improving their own health, resilience, and wellbeing. We want to maximise people’s independence so individuals can achieve their goals and aspirations and live life to the fullest.We have a vacancy for a Support Organiser within our Hoots Team. The post holder will direct staff to engage and implement Adult Social Care values, vision, and strategy to support people to have a life not a service and to safeguard them from harm. They will champion promoting peoples’ skills and abilities to optimise their independence and maintain their own support networks.The post holder will assist in the delivery of the Hoots Service with constant competing demands. This service is facilitated out of hours between 10pm and 6am, 7 days per week, undertaking staff supervision and development, contributing to the management of the Teams operational functions and strategic directions. Providing practical care and support to individuals in their own homes. They will complete risk assessments and effective care planning to meet individual need, promoting and maintaining independence enabling people to remain in their own homes.The post holder will proactively support and encourage joint working across Adult Social Care, primarily between Social Care, Housing, Occupational Therapy, and Health services to ensure services are delivered in accordance with Care Quality Commission requirements and support National Strategic Frameworks and local objectives for performance.GCSE grade C or above in maths and English or equivalent is essential.Benefits of working for Hull City Council – Working for hull city councilWhy Hull is a great place to live and work – Working for hull city councilhttps://www.workingforhullcitycouncil.org.uk/help-applying-interviews/apply-jobs
