Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit a Sustainability and Social Value Coordinator to support the development and co-ordinate the Strategies and content which support Milton Keynes City Councils social and economic and environmental benefits and environmental ambitions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships internally, with our client and within the community
- Develop, manage and maintain both the Sustainability Strategy and Social Value Strategy
- Effective communication; map, evidence, monitor and report on the performance relating to environmental and social value
- Understand our clients evolving social, economic and environmental (SEE) requirements supporting the development of a Social Value Strategy
- Enhance Ringway’s SEE reputation, both within Milton Keynes and across the wider business, through participation in business working groups / networking opportunities
- Support the business objectives to increase in the levels of equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within the workforce
- Work with operational colleagues to collate Sustainability figures monthly
- Co-ordinate regular waste audits with the operational team
- Identify opportunities for recycling and circular economy
What we are looking for:
- Experience of delivering Social Value in collaboration with key stakeholders, preferably in the construction industry.
- Demonstrable awareness of sustainability agenda and innovation resulting in reducing our carbon footprint
- Experience of engaging large groups and presenting information that appeals to the audience and gains support
- Team player
- Able to communicate to all levels
