My client, a leading multinational defence company, are currently seeking multiple Systems Engineering Managers at all levels to join the business in a permanent capacity. The role can be based out of my client’s secure site in Warton or Brough. - with the requirement to attend site 3 days a week. Flexible working. Core working hours – 10:30 – 14:30 Mon to Thursday, 10:00 – 12:30 Friday.

Due to the nature of my client’s work, candidates must either hold a live SC Clearance or be willing and able to undergo the clearance process.

What you’ll be doing:
As a Systems Engineering Manager you will take a leading role interfacing with customers, understanding their requirements and keeping them involved during product development. The ability to influence a diverse and highly skilled community of engineers, whilst also interfacing with non-engineering functions across the business will be essential. As well as managing a team and senior stakeholders, you will also have the confidence to work closely with other Engineering Leads through the integration lifecycle, proposing, developing, and delivering engineering products and solutions that meet expected standards as well as meeting customers’ needs.
Your skills and experiences:
Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Lifecycle
Evidence based experience in an engineering integration environment. (Applicants encouraged from Aerospace, Automotive, Rail and Nuclear Industries)
Experience of Model Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets. (Teamcenter PLM, DOORs, CAMEO, MATLAB, ANSYS)
Evidence based experience of management responsibilities, managing teams and senior stakeholders.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
Good communication skills across all levels of an organisation
Self-starter and pro-active but with the ability to work effectively in a team.
