WHAT TO EXPECT
This role sits within the Motion Systems & Software Integration Team, who is responsible for the engineering of Chassis Control Systems and Software such as: ABS, Suspension Controls, Terrain Response, Vehicle Motion Control, Steering Controls, Motion Information Services.
The System and Validation Lead Engineer will work primarily as part of the Motion Information Services squad, leading the system level test case specification and system level validation. The Motion Information Services Squad is responsible for providing Motion Active Systems with information such as mass property estimation, gradient estimation, etc and it is a multifunctional squad spread across various JLR sites.
The role will have a high emphasis on vehicle testing and validation and will participate in the calibration of the Motion Information Services. The individual will work closely with the customers of the Motion Information Services, such as Vehicle Dynamics and the relevant Chassis Control Systems.
