AV System Designer
Manchester/Hybrid
£40,000 - £45,000
My client is looking to recruit an experienced AV System Designer to work either in-house or remotely as part of their design team. The ideal candidate will have system design knowledge across a range of location types including classrooms, boardrooms, lecture theatres and atriums.
The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys new challenges and working in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills
3 years of recent AV Design experience.
Core understanding of AV products and how they work together.
Ability to produce clear and accurate system schematics for engineers to follow.
Ability to understand and account for requirements of the on-site installation team as well as the base design.
Desirable Skills
Installation, commissioning, and implementation experience in previous AV projects
InfoComm Certifications (CTS, CTS-D and/or CTS-I).
Any AV manufacturer led design/implementation certification.
Previous design experience with video conferencing and unified communication systems.
Previous design experience with AV over IP systems.
Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VISIO.
Experience with core manufacturers including Extron, Crestron, NEC, Kramer and Epson.
Working knowledge of network topology and basics network security and protocol.
