IT Systems Manager

Nottinghamshire (hybrid)

£40,000 to £45,000 per annum

SystemsAccountants are currently working on behalf of a client to find a Systems Manager to take a lead role in managing existing business software, making key improvements as well as supporting BAU activities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Work with key business stakeholders, reviewing system processes and understanding requirements to make key improvements
  • Acts as a key point of contact with external software providers, developers and teams.
  • Be the point of contact for all issues with existing systems
  • Use data skills to get important information from existing systems via running of SQL queries, perform mass updates and build and maintain reports to provide business insight
  • Resolve issues with BAU activities involving systems which will include user set up, management of software licenses, systems administration as well as ensuring that the cloud based BI software is appropriately set up for the users.
  • Support new system implementations and use technical skills to assist with data migrations, report writing and other initiatives.

Qualifications for the Position:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a software administration / management role.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Power Query, DAX, and other data modelling.
  • SAP Business One experience desirable
  • Ideally, experience with BI tools such as Power BI to produce / maintain data visualizations
  • Strong understanding and experience in managing business software as well as database skills to ensure all system data conforms to the organisation’s data strategy.
  • Ability to interrogate large data sets and use data skills to find the most efficient way to produce desired output
  • Demonstrable experience of managing software (ERP/WMS etc.) and working with end users and third parties to implement business improvements
  • Advanced O365 skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a willingness to work independently as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the company.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field.
