Teacher of Design Technology This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and highly motivated Design Technology teacher to join a well established and successful DT team at a high-performing secondary school, in the Lewisham area of South-East London.

The role is a permanent appointment and will commence in April 2023
- alternatively, a September 2023 start could also be available.
The school are looking for a colleague who is committed to strong outcomes for all students and who wishes to join them in engendering a love for STEM subjects within students both inside and outside of the classroom.
They are hoping to find a colleague with a specialism in Product Design and/or Resistant Materials.
The school have been in the fortunate position in recent years to have invested in additional Design Technology courses and have increased curriculum time in recognition of the importance of Design Technology career routes to the local economy.
The subject area is popular and recruitment levels are high.
About the Department: The Design Technology department is highly successful with a positive atmosphere and you will need to be a strong team player with the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate.
The department is well equipped with both traditional tools and machinery, and laser cutter and 3D printers.
The school are looking for a candidate with experience of, and an enthusiasm for, teaching Design Technology (focusing on Wood, Metal and Plastic), but some flexibility is expected within the department.
At Key Stage 3 all students study Design Technology, Food and Textiles.
