Start Term: September to July - Full Academic Year

Are you a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of English looking to make a positive impact on students' lives? GSL Education is seeking a passionate educator to join our supportive and friendly Secondary Schools in South Manchester, where you'll be making a difference in the lives of KS3 and KS4 students. If you are eager to helping young minds develop their love for English, this role is perfect for you!

The Role:

As an Experienced Teacher of English with KS3/KS4 students, you will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds and fostering a love for literature and language. Your role will involve planning and teaching a diverse curriculum that meets the needs of young learners.

As a Teacher of English, Your Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that that align with the curriculum and educational standards, also cater to a range of abilities.
  • Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Inspire and engage students through dynamic teaching methods and interactive activities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources, contributing to the school's English department.
  • Foster a positive relationship with students, parents, and colleagues to promote a cohesive learning community.

Required Qualifications for Teacher of English:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or a related field.
  • Experience as a Teacher of English in the school level, with a passion for the subject and a commitment to student success.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and differentiate teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to collaboration and commitment to continuous professional development.
