Teacher Training Administrator – (with library duties)

Role: Teacher Training Administrator – (with library duties)

Type of contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week – (9.00 am – 5.00pm with an occasional 10.30am to 6.30pm working pattern by agreement)

About International House

International House London is an established and well-known language school, with over sixty years of experience in providing language courses and teacher training programmes. Our spacious and fully equipped school is based near Covent Garden and we are a founding member of the International House World Organisation.

Role requirements:

This exciting and varied role will entail working closely with and support the Director of Training and wider Teacher Trainer department to provide administrative support for a range of TT programmes. In addition, the postholder will work collaboratively and flexibly with team managers, TT administrators and members of other departments.

The roleholder will also help deliver a high-quality information service to all students, clients, prospective clients, visitors and other members of staff, as well as provide in-person and online support to library users, trainee and English language students and help to maintain the library resources to a high standard. Furthermore the post holder will support with ensuring that teacher training applications are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Finally the roleholder will support with providing information about Teacher Training courses, by phone, email and face to face, alongside provide support for the financial processing of the teacher training department.

Person specification:

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Be a team player and have good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have proven organisational and time management skills including being able to prioritise from a range of delegated tasks.
  • Be a competent English speaker and writer ( C1+)
  • Have excellent administrative skills
  • Be a confident user of a range of IT packages.
  • Be able to work quickly and accurately with numerical information and financial records.
