West Bromwich, Sandwell

March 2023-July 2023 (8:30-15:30 – Full time)

About the role

You will be working alongside the classroom teachers, assisting them with daily activities and lesson planning and preparation. The role will also include some 1:1 and intervention group work with the pupils, thus having knowledge of KS1 UK Curriculum and phonics is desirable as you will be working across the whole of KS1.

This friendly Sandwell based Primary School are looking to recruit a highly confident, reliable and friendly individual who ideally has recent experience of working closely across Year 1 and 2.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

•            Experience in a primary school setting, ideally within KS1.

•            Excellent understanding and experience of working with pupils with different abilities.

•            Have strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

•            A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would make the candidate advantageous

•            Referenceable classroom experience

•            Hold a Child Workforce DBS registered to Update Service or be willing to purchase a new one
