What you'll do

In this role you will be responsible for leading a project team or squad of cross functional software developers and QA engineers, and will deliver high quality software solutions for our products.

• Manage the development team, incorporating cutting edge technologies as you work on brand new Sky Products including the new Smart Camera platform, helping to drive the project forward
• Provide technical guidance to members of development and test teams to ensure quality of delivery
• Hold requirement and design reviews with stakeholders
• Carry out code reviews with the team and write up technical proposals
• Help identify the root cause of defects and carry out corrective strategy to prevent further recurrence of the issues
• Collaborate with the QA team and demonstrate quality best practice
• Report progress, ensuring tracking systems are kept up to date

What you'll bring

• Good understanding of embedded software technology
• Experience working as a Senior Software Engineer or Team Lead on embedded projects, leading small to medium sized teams.
• Experience with either C / C++ / Java projects is desirable.
• Experience in either Camera / 3D / AI technologies and Android platform is desirable
• Good communication skills
• You'll be solution focused with ability to plan, anticipate issues, consider risks, and help deliver best value
• Be an advocate for software development best practices
• Willingness to take on challenges and adapt with changing priorities.
