Working with and leading a team to deliver active travel for Midlothian Council this role requires a reactive individual who can adapt to change quickly in a fast-moving environment. Experience of staff management, report writing, and financial management is essential as is the ability to work closely with a wide range partners such as schools, parent groups and elected members.

Educated to SQCF level 7 (HNC level or equivalent technical/professional qualification) in a subject appropriate to their area of responsibility; or can demonstrate significant relevant experience in a local authority of comparable size and complexity.
Experience of staff supervision, IT systems used in an office environment, project management and financial responsibility.
Clear evidence of commitment to continuing professional development.
