Hybrid working can only be considered once your initial training is complete and subject to business need.You will need English and Maths GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above OR Functional Skills Level 2 or above to apply. Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment.Evidence of your qualifications will be required prior to appointment* Progression to a higher salary may be available after 12 months, subject to meeting specified knowledge, skills and competencies. Main responsibilitiesRespond to customer enquiries, both verbally and in writing from Telecoms Commercial Customers.Operate and maintain the National Grid Telecoms Sales mailbox system.Administer Communications site access and supervision database.Provide administration and support to the National Grid Telecoms Commercial team, and to other Telecoms team as required.Ideal candidateYou must be able to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing, with customers and other team members and must be able to represent the company positively at all times.You must be reliable, well organised and be able to work as part of a small team and you must be able to work using your own initiative. Possession of basic keyboard skills is desirable and full training will be given on the applications used.If you are offered a position, you will be required to undertake and successfully complete a BS7858 security screening check.
