About the role:

At 10x we are committed to operate in a fully compliant, legal and ethical manner in the course of both delivering for our Clients and meeting our business objectives. This is an exciting role supporting 10x to implement and embed a strong, pro-active risk culture across the company.

You will be responsible for….

  • Supporting the development of the 10x assurance programme
  • Executing in-depth product assurance deep dives/control assessments, issuance of conclusions and oversight of remedial actions to the business ensuring they are tracked to closure
  • Preparing and providing updates to Senior Management and Committees on progress made against controls testing schedules
  • Working with first-line to enhance and mature the internal control environment including the wording of key and non-key controls, identifying control attributes, control design and effectiveness assessments and control gap analysis
  • Developing and leading risk training and communications with stakeholders across business functions on three lines of defence
  • Supporting SOC2, ISO audits and other external audits
  • Keeping up to date on the latest assurance focus and emerging risks for the IT assurance/banking industry

Working with the rest of the Chief Risk & Resilience Office to further 10x’s risk and control maturity

About you

You are a self-motivated, all-rounded, collaborative and experienced Assurance professional or a Software Engineer with an interest in risk management within financial services and or FinTech start-up / scale-up. You will join us at an exciting time in our business and this is great opportunity for someone who is not afraid to speak their mind or stand by their decisions.

Ideally you will have…

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, ideally in IT/Computer Science
  • Experience in audit/assurance is essential
  • A deep understanding of good practices in software development
  • A passion for quality and experience in test driven development and familiarity with JVM based tech stack for building and running platform
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Effective assimilation and analysis of information
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Strong organisational, problem solving and time management skills
  • Integrity and professional ethics
  • Flexibility
  • Passion for promoting a strong, healthy risk culture
