Their software powers some of the largest and most complex trading systems in the world, and we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Author to help communicate their technical prowess to their clients and internal teams as well as external publications.
Suitable candidates will have a strong background in Java and C++ to be able to create, develop, and maintain high-quality documentation and articles. As a Technical Author, you will work closely with the development, product, and marketing teams to produce content that is both technically accurate and easy to understand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software products, including user guides, API documentation, and system architecture descriptions.
- Write and edit technical articles, blog posts, whitepapers, and case studies that explain complex technical concepts in an accessible manner.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather the necessary information for accurate documentation.
- Ensure all documentation is consistent, clear, and adheres to the company's standards and guidelines.
- Continuously improve documentation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Conduct peer reviews of documentation produced by other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Technical Author, Technical Writer, or similar role in a software development environment.
- Strong technical background with expertise in Java and C++.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and lifecycle.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the financial or trading software industry.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages and technologies.
- Experience with API documentation and developer portals.
