Job Description
Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on a Technical Advisor in Cardiff.
The successful candidate will be technically minded, being fully capable of reading, understanding in-depth technical documentation and CAD drawings. They will also have strong communication skills with excellent customer service skills, being able to provide strong technical support and assistance to customers. An Architecture/ Civil or Mechanical Engineering graduate with a passion for design would be ideal for this role.
Technical Advisor Benefits:
Salary of £26,500 moving to £27,560 after 6 months and £28,620 after 12 months
Yearly bonus up to 10% of annual salary based on company performance (£2,650 min)
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
Hybrid working - after completion of training 2 days per week working from home

Technical Advisor Duties and Responsibilities
Liaising with customers over the phone and via email, providing excellent service at all times
Provide customers with technical advice and solutions to design related problems
Read and understand technical documents and drawings, able to form in depth discussions around these to provide suggestions and answer queries
Assisting in preparation and filing of standard technical documents and CAD drawings
Technical approval of drawing submittals
Creation of technical documents and drawings for internal and customer use, considering any specifications or requirements and taking these into consideration
Conduct in depth calculations regarding products required for use
Identify and calculate the qualification of the suitability of products for use
Obtain customer feedback and utilise this information to form and develop new ideas for service and product improvements
Technical Advisor Essential Experience/Qualifications
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or construction environment
Use of CAD or AutoCAD
Architectural, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Qualification
Ability to read, understand and produce drawings
Experience of producing calculations to check product suitability
Good customer service skills and strong communication
Able to build relationships with customers
IT. Literate
