This is a very exciting position that we're recruiting for - it would be ideal for someone who is looking to progress from a traditional 2nd/3rd line level IT role or a systems administration / infrastructure analyst role.
What is the role?
The official title is a Technical Consultant but, as we all know, titles in IT these days don't mean an awful lot… see below a brief overview of the duties:
Dealing with escalated IT issues that the junior engineers couldn't resolve
Technical account management - ensuring your clients are happy and their IT support and project needs are met
Delivering the above with excellent customer service
Supporting the delivery of interesting and business critical IT infrastructure projects for clients
Documenting and handling change management

What technical knowledge/experience is essential?
Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, AD, Group Policies
VMware, Backup Technologies
General Networking
o CNS, DHCP, VPN, NAT, Firewalls, Trunking, VLANs
What technical knowledge/experience is desirable?
Relevant Microsoft / Cisco / Citrix / ITIL quals would be great
Technical account/client management experience
Azure, Office 365
Nutanix, VSAN, Dell (VxRail, VRTX)
Veeam, Commvault, Nakivo
DATTO, StorageCraft, SonicWall, Zerto
Hyper V, Citrix
