Job Description
Mainstay are seeking a technical Consultant with extensive Azure experience in small and medium-sized businesses, preferably from another Managed Services Provider. The role primarily involves delivering technical projects and providing presales support to the Sales team. The Sales & Project team is responsible for providing technical solutions to new & existing corporate customers on Azure Services, Office 365, AVD/Windows 365, and Windows Server/Client based technologies.
The technical consultant must possess excellent communication skills and be able to articulate the company's technology and product portfolio to both business and technical users. In addition, a strong level of technical support is required as this is a hands-on role with the requirement to provide both VIP telephone and potentially client-side support. Possible 3rd line support escalation may be required.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of support experience with Microsoft Operating Systems, Desktop and Server, AD synchronisation using AADConnect, and Azure skills such as Virtual Machines, Security, Networking Infrastructure, ASR/Migration from On-premise, and NVA. Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, Autopilot & Application Deployment is also desirable.
Responsibilities include communication with clients and the team to ensure that customer satisfaction levels are upheld, selling technical solutions to customers, building productive relationships internally and externally, attending meetings with potential clients to determine technical and business requirements, providing technical solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes, creating and confidently delivering technical presentations internally and externally, delivering technical projects when necessary, coping under pressure, and prioritising work accordingly. Project management experience is a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate will be confident, outgoing, have an excellent telephone manner, great communication skills both written and verbal, be self-motivated, and have the ability to work without supervision. A full driver's licence and willingness to travel are required for this role.
