Technical & Design Engineer - Job Specification Job Role: Technical & Design Engineer Reporting to: Technical Director Working Hours: 8.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch. Location: Based at Stocks Ag – Wisbech. Travelling as required to visit exhibitions, key accounts, dealers and customers when necessary. Job Description: Stocks AG are looking for a self-motivated, innovative CAD Designer and Technical Engineer, ideally with a background within the manufacturing sector. You will be working within the Product development team, reporting to the Technical Director and supporting the manufacturing department as well as providing technical support to customers and dealers at busy times of the year. Responsibilities: CAD Design work to enhance and develop the existing range of Applicators and Wheels CAM support for the manufacturing department In season telephone based technical support for dealers and customers Writing and updating Operators and parts books and ensuring standards and CA/UKCA compliance Required Experience and Knowledge: The ideal candidate will have: Experience in a design environment Competent in the use of CAD (Solidworks or other drawing packages) Experience creating Manufacturing drawings A high level of mechanical and engineering knowledge Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Key skills required in this role: Good communication skills – be able to communicate at all levels throughout the business and articulate technical solutions over the phone The ability to present and explain ideas and information clearly to colleagues and managers. The ability and desire to work effectively as part of a team A proven ability to work alone and utilise your initiative when presented with problems. Problem-solving – an ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to problems.
