This Technical Director role is afantastic opportunity to become an integral part of the UKs market leading ground source heat pump installation company. The company are a well-established manufacturer of heat pumps based in Exeter offering incentives, support and career opportunities. Within this role you will be part of the solution for climate change helping to make a direct impact to the social and environmental level of installing group source heat pumps.
Joining the successful design team, as Technical Director you will
Provide strategic leadership to the design team and provide expert oversight for the business ensuring all designs are aligned with industry best practice.
Work closely with both the commercial and operations directors to take ownership of the design and technical outputs of the business.
Provide oversight to the design manager to ensure robust designs are delivered to achieve the best outcome.
Beresponsible for managing multiple projects across social housing, new build development and non-domestic sectors.
Lead the Domestic / Non-Domestic Design and R&D teams.
Provide leadership and ownership of complex design decisions.
Be responsible for the management of key clients.
We are keen to speak to people about this Technical Director opportunity who have the following skills and experience:
Proven experience of leading technical and design elements of complex M&E solutions, ideally including large scale GSHP Projects.
Minimum of a recognised Bachelors Degree in Engineering or building services engineering, preferably Masters level or equivalent.
The ability to understand and deliver against business requirements.
Extensive experience of designing large scale M&E.
Detailed knowledge of key building regulations.
Experience of inspiring a team of engineers with exceptional coaching skills.
Develop both the design and R&D teams.
In return, as Technical Director you will receive a negotiable salary dependent on experience, company car, contributory pension scheme and 25 days holiday plus banks which increases to 30 days. Private Health Insurance is offered after 1 year.
