Overall Purpose of the Job: As a Technical Manager, you will provide crucial technical support across client estate, collaborating with specialist service partners when necessary. Your responsibilities include ensuring compliance with industry standards, delivering world-class service, maintaining communication with clients and teams, and supporting the Smart Leadership Team.
Key Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Manage all technical engineering activities across the portfolio.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external customers, serving as a focal point for all technical issues.
- Respond to incidents during normal and out-of-hours, including attending sites outside of regular hours when necessary.
- Oversee HV/LV shutdowns and produce switching schedules.
- Deputize for the Contract Manager on critical sites.
- Develop and maintain a forward maintenance plan and ensure compliance with AP duties.
- Provide technical support to client FM and Estate Management Stakeholders.
Success Measures/Objectives:
- Maintain updated records of statutory amendments.
- Minimize disruption during property shutdowns.
- Provide written switching schedules for properties with HV.
- Receive positive customer feedback.
- Display SMS Behaviors consistently.
- Ensure efficient and well-presented staff.
- Maintain sites to SMS Show site standard.
Accountabilities:
- Accountable to Account Manager and the Accounts Management Team.
- No directly reporting staff or budgetary responsibility.
Person Specification:
- Experience in a similar role, with HV switching and shutdown experience.
- Management and QHSE training.
- Continuous personal development record.
Education/Knowledge/Aptitude/Character:
- HNC or higher in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of lead engineer experience.
- Professional Engineer license and BREEAM/LEED accreditation preferred.
- Meticulous, customer-focused, and performance-driven.
- Committed to excellent customer service and able to work under pressure.
