Location: Gibraltar Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year depending on experience Department: Underwriting

Are you a talented Analyst with experience working on Insurance data? Are you a seasoned user of SAS, Power BI and Microsoft Excel? If so, we need you!

We’re looking for someone to join our Underwriting team as a Technical Reporting Analyst in our Gibraltar office.

In this role you’ll provide analysis, insight and competitive advantage to the company by producing analysis and reports which maximise the profitability of the Company. You will produce key company reports in Power BI, write reports solving key company questions, learn industry analysis techniques and the SAS software.

You’ll be great in this role if you have: 

  • Expert SAS, Power BI and Microsoft Excel skills
  • An understanding of insurance data would be an advantage

Whats Involved:

  • Production of key business analysis reports
  • Ad hoc project work researching and providing analysis to motor function
  • Maintenance of reports written in SAS software and Power BI
  • Writing new analysis code using SAS software
  • Presenting results in Excel and Power BI
  • Production of findings in a clear and logical manner
  • Positive manner with ability to communicate well with all colleagues and stakeholders
  • To ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times
  • Any other reasonable duties as required

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2:1 in a mathematical or statistical based degree
  • Some experience of Power BI, SAS, SQL, SPSS and Excel an advantage
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Strong IT skills (including Excel, Power BI and ideally SAS)
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good time management and organisation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to adopt a logical approach to solving problems
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Good knowledge of motor insurance products and the motor insurance industry after appropriate training
  • Solid understanding of the business objectives and operations
