Technical Risk Lead
Malmesbury (hybrid)
£550 per day (negotiable)
6 months contract
Advantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a large company who operate within the engineering sector and are currently seeking an experienced Technical Risk Lead.
You will lead the implementation of a step change in approach to technical risk management and robustness engineering. This will include leading the introduction of new approaches and techniques bringing rigour, depth and breadth in technical risk assessment for both design and related manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the deployment of a managed approach to technical risk assessment and robustness engineering throughout product development.
Deliver expert facilitation to derive maximum value from design and process failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), parameter diagram modelling and other prudent industry best practice.
Aid the development of robust verification and control plans.
Scope effort and predict resourcing need for required risk assessment and robustness engineering activities.
Take a lead in planning and include prioritisation and scheduling of activities where required.
Track cross team participation and progress in maturation of required delivery.
Bring visibility of technical risk assessment throughout development.
Influence and motivate cross team participation for related processes. Create and maintain links between design and process risk assessment.
What We're looking for:
Expert knowledge in technical risk management (such as VDA/AIAG aligned methodologies) and robustness engineering with demonstrable application in both development and manufacturing environments.
An authority in the use of dedicated risk management software with a preference towards APIS IQ-RM.
Credible experience of leading technical facilitation for groups of five or more participants with skills in the deployment and use of verbal tools and techniques.
Ability to coach and deliver training programs to large groups through excellent communication, a confident presenter.
Someone with sound knowledge of engineering standards across design and manufacture
