Job Description
The Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing new business within the UK territories throughout the OEM supply chain. Working in conjunction with the internal technical and leadership teams you will be tasked with increasing sales revenue amongst new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Prepare sales plans to effectively identify new business opportunities within new and existing customers.
Conduct market / competitor analysis in order to identify sales prospects within your designated market.
Deliver technical presentations to key stakeholders within your customer base.
Perform annual business reviews with each of your customers in order to to maximise sales opportunities.
Keep up-to-date with the latest product information and industry regulations.
Build key relationships both internally and externally.
Be seen as a trusted advisor for your customers, by delivering excellent customer service through consistent follow ups and quality control checks.
Deliver accurate forecasts and key customer updates in line with company expectation.
When required engage with the different internal departments in order to deliver a seamless sales process.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal Technical Sales Engineer will demonstrate the following competencies:
A strong technical background within mechanical engineering. This experience could have been obtained through higher education or equivalent work experience.
A previous track record of working with OEM's across a number of key vertical sectors would be highly advantageous.
Have experience dealing with customers in either an applications engineering capacity or a relevant technical sales position.
Be an excellent communicator that is able to deliver technical information effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
Have strong organisational skills, in order to effectively plan your diary to maximise results.
Able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
Be based from the Corby site predominantly, visiting customers when required.
