Technical Sales Engineer – option to work from home available, combined with travel to customer sites across the UK and worldwide. The Role – Technical Sales Engineer Reporting to the Commercial Director, as the Technical Sales Engineer you will be responsible for: Researching, analysing, and developing new business opportunities for new and existing products Building and retaining existing company relationships and product lines Ensuring sales targets are met in respect of European, US and Far Eastern accounts, through customer visits, ongoing liaison, and attending relevant conferences and meetings Preparing and issuing costings, and monitoring progression Assisting customers with queries related to quotations and orders, and processing sales orders (with appropriate admin support), as well as handling any customer complaints Liaising with production, technical, and shipping functions to meet delivery schedules Creating effective business plans to expand into new markets, generate revenue, and strengthen the company's competitive position within the industry Assisting with the identification and management of development projects to bring suitable new products to our target markets Developing and maintaining integrated capability monitoring in respect of production output through product analytical data Providing sales forecasts to assist with the preparation of our annual operating plan and any interim budgets Monitoring and forecasting sales performance Our Requirements – Technical Sales Engineer Experience gained in a technical sales role including financial analysis and sales negotiation Excellent business analysis and financial modelling skills Ability to learn complex technical information quickly Superb communication, negotiation, and influencing skills with the ability to develop relationships with internal and external key decision makers Great organisation skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment managing several projects simultaneously You will be required to travel to customer sites or warehouse facilities outside of the UK, therefore the ability and willingness to undertake short and long-haul flights is essential. The Package As a Technical Sales Engineer, you'll benefit from: A salary in the region of £35,000 to £45,000, level dependent on experience, with a higher salary potentially negotiable for a highly experienced candidate Permanent contract, working 37.25 hours per week Option to work from home or work from our offices in Ellesmere Port (Cheshire, UK).
