Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Manager, in our Account Management & Sales department in Worcester, UK. The successful applicant will work as part of the team and report directly to the Sales Manager. They will be required to proactively generate sales leads & convert them into sales.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships and expanding market presence for the company. The candidate will need to be able to manage customer relationships, develop business, generate sales and revenue.

You will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the business by utilising your sales expertise and strong industry knowledge. We seek someone who can drive outbound lead generation while identifying and developing larger client opportunities. This role requires a strategic thinker who can create and execute plans that generate momentum and growth.

The candidate should have an interest and be willing to learn about various Hosting solutions like Dedicated Servers, VPS and other general hosting concepts.

The successful candidate would be working on Our Managed Hosting brands like Catalyst2, UKDedicated, GURU and our Self-Managed Hosting brands like SimplyHosting.com in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead outbound lead generation efforts and identify opportunities to secure and develop larger clients
  • Hunting and prospecting for new business across the country
  • Leading all aspects of the sales cycle from start to finish
  • Using sales prospecting tools and methodologies to drive outbound activities
Required Skills And Experience.
  • Proven sales experience within the UK IT/ Hosting Industry is essential
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets/quotas
  • Ability to understand the client's business objectives and technical needs
  • This is a client-facing role and will include developing sales leads, contacting companies, arranging appointments with prospective clients, delivering presentations, winning contracts in a professional and polished manner.
Key Competencies
  • Strong Technical experience within the Hosting industry
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitor landscape, and consumer trends
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Disciplined, organised and self-motivated with good time management abilities.
  • Able to work under pressure and achieve quarterly sales targets.

Working Hours:
The normal hours of the business are 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday inclusive. Some flexibility can be offered in start and finish times as per discussion with the hiring manager.

For the first two weeks hands-on sales and product training will be provided, on a full-time basis from our offices in Worcester or Reading. After training, Hybrid & remote working arrangements can be discussed with your Line Manager.
