Technical Writer Software Provider Our high growth client are a European Software Provider that develop & implement cloud HR software and payroll services. Environment: Friendly and supportive, collaborative, diverse and trusting. 25 days holidays + bank holidays, flexible working, regular social events, remotely and in person. The job can be remote or hybrid (they have offices in Glasgow and London) however you must be UK based so can attend company functions from time to time. Responsibilities: Research, write and edit technical documentation, including articles, help guides and API documentation. Maintaining the content and design of the companys Help Centre. Writing Release Notes and customer focused Release E-mails. Creating tutorial videos (screencasts) Writing articles for Line Managers, Administrators and Developers. Use graphics, images and other visual aids to enhance understanding of technical concepts. Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical documentation. Help the support team with ad hoc queries as required. Skills and experience: Recent Bachelors degree (Ideally Computing or English) and/or experience working as a Technical Writer. Excellent writing and communication skills. Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Basic HTML or willingness to learn. Keen interest in Technology, Software, Cloud. An exceptional ability to learn new concepts and challenge the status quo. Well organised, a self-starter, analytical and creative. Quality focused with outstanding attention to detail. It is advantageous if you have previous experience of using documentation tools like Madcap, RoboHelp or ScreenSteps.
